Unravel Carbon is an enterprise software company that helps companies track and reduce their carbon emissions. The company is on a mission to accelerate the participation of all companies, big and small, in the global fight against climate change.

Climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges and managing emissions starts with measurement. Scope 3 emissions, the indirect emissions in a company’s value chain, typically make up 85% of a company’s total emissions – but are the most difficult to measure and manage. As more companies aim toward being carbon neutral and take climate action, accounting for organisational emissions, including Scope 3, is a time-consuming process and requires a special skill set which can be expensive. The inventory required for decision-making can take months to be developed, which leaves a limited amount of time to execute emission reduction plans.

Unravel Carbon is the first AI-powered decarbonisation platform in Asia Pacific, home to 70% of world’s supply chains and 60% of global emissions. The platform converts any company’s accounting data into full supply chain carbon data in seconds, generates customised climate pathways to ‘net zero’ with climate solutions, and auto-populates regulatory disclosure reports.

Unravel Carbon aims to build the largest repository of carbon data in Asia, which will be an invaluable resource for organisations that aim to take steps towards net-zero emissions. The platform provides companies adequate time to implement emission reduction solutions by effectively studying financial transaction data of enterprises and providing them with cost-effective and auditable information that helps executives efficiently plan their carbon emission reduction strategy.

Unravel Carbon was founded in September 2021 by Grace Sai and Marc Allen and is headquartered in Singapore. Grace is a Kaufmann Fellow and Skoll Scholar with an MBA from Oxford and an executive Master’s Degree in Organisational Psychology from INSEAD. She was also the founder and CEO of two venture-backed companies with successful exits. Marc, a chemical engineer, was the Founder and CEO of Engeco, a climate expert consultancy that has developed climate strategies for some of the world’s largest companies including Unilever and Shell.
