TrueFoundry is a developer platform that enables startups to deploy and monitor machine learning (ML) models at the speed of big tech companies – in minutes or days instead of weeks or months.

Developing and launching machine learning models is a time-consuming and complex process for software engineers, machine learning engineers and data scientists. Around 90% of ML Models don’t end up in production. About 60% of models deployed in production break because of lack of monitoring and observability systems, while another 30% of models have to be reverted because of scaling and latency issues. These parameters are often ignored during training time.

To counter these issues, large-scale companies deploy large, high-end ML platform teams to bridge the gap between designing and launching ML models. However, it’s not feasible for a small company or a startup to make such high investments while building their companies.

TrueFoundry aims to automate the repetitive parts of the ML pipeline around infrastructure and deployments so data scientists and ML engineers can focus on the more creative parts. This allows them to continuously upgrade their models in production and release new models to gain competitive advantage.

TrueFoundry was founded in June 2021 by Abhishek Choudhary, Anuraag Gutgutia and Nikunj Bajaj, and is headquartered in San Francisco. After completing his education at IIT Kharagpur, Abhishek led projects as a software engineer at Facebook, eventually leading their Videos organization. Anuraag was a member of the CEO office and VP of Portfolio Management at WorldQuant. He is also an angel investor in over 22 startups. Nikunj attained his Master’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Nikunj has led machine learning teams at Facebook and Reflektion. Abhishek, Anuraag and Nikunj are undergrad batch-mates from IIT Kharagpur. Prior to TrueFoundry, they co-founded EntHire, an AI based recruitment platform, which was acquired in 2021 by Info Edge.
