Otoklix is digitising Indonesia’s automotive aftermarket sector by providing online to offline solutions for car services. With 10,000 cars serviced via the platform every month, Otoklix’s vision is to become the most trusted aftermarket service network in Indonesia.
Over the next five years, there will be at least 20 million cars on Indonesian roads, as well as more than 20,000 car workshops across the country. As a result, the car aftermarket is projected to reach $15 billion by 2025. But for many car owners, getting their car serviced or repaired at an independent workshop can be a long, cumbersome process. Relying on authorised dealers involves high cost and long queues, while going through independent workshops exposes car owners to risk of fraud, lack of standardisation and poor after-sales service. Despite controlling almost 80% of the total market, many of these independent workshops in Indonesia are struggling with antiquated workflows. They are still managing their transactions through pen and paper and are unable to move upstream with their procurement, which further restrains growth and profit margins.
Otoklix serves two sides of the market. For car owners, Otoklix has developed a mobile app that makes car maintenance simple. Car owners can book services at any recommended independent workshop nearby and receive a standardised price and service level. Car owners also receive a warranty for any transaction at an Otoklix partner workshop and can track their repair and maintenance history within the app.
Workshops signing up with Otoklix are rebranded as Otoklix partner workshops, and get access to a suite of CRM and SCM (Supply Chain Management) solutions to increase their topline and margins. Workshops also save on procurement costs by ordering car parts directly from the manufacturers through Otoklix.
