Fittr is an online fitness app that offers users a one-stop platform for nutrition and health guidance.
Fittr aims to become a leading global social platform and marketplace for fitness coaching, by educating and inspiring users to get fit. It does this through offering its community free access to diet and training tools provided by fitness experts and enthusiasts.
Users can also view before-and-after transformation pictures of members from the Fittr community, as well as get personalised nutrition and exercise plans to reach their health and fitness goals by paying a small premium. The customised plans are provided by one of Fittr’s 200 certified coaches, who also come from the Fittr community, with their own stories of transformation. By paying to access the service, users get an in-depth consultation call with the coach, as well as weekly check-ups on their progress via the app.
Fittr was born out of a Whatsapp group that was set up by co-founder Jitendra Chouksey, who began his fitness transformation while working in IT. He started by coaching people through the Whatsapp group, using the knowledge he’d gained to get in shape. The community grew through word-of-mouth recommendations and transformation pictures of people who’d been coached by him, eventually expanding to a Facebook group with over 850,000 members. The platform developed its first fully-fledged app in 2018.
Fittr’s co-founders include Sonal Singh, who previously worked as a strategy and operations consultant with Deloitte, Jyoti Dabas, a former Citigroup analyst, Rohit Chattopadhyay, who has an MBA in Marketing, and Bala Krishna Reddy, a former developer at Ford Motors.
