Indonesia’s consumer health industry is a rapidly growing sector expected to reach US$9.6 billion by 2025. However, in a country with an estimated 0.4 doctors per 1,000 persons, patients often have to contend with long wait times and lengthy commutes. Quality products and services are also often too costly for many of Indonesia’s consumers. There is a dire need for easy healthcare access and affordable options for health and beauty conditions.
With Diri Care, customers suffering from chronic skin, hair and lifestyle health conditions such as acne, dark spots, skin aging, hair loss and performance anxiety have access to 24/7 virtual support. The integrated platform seamlessly connects customers to health professionals who provide personalized treatment recommendations. The products are then delivered to customers’ doorsteps in as fast as two hours.
Diri Care was founded in March 2022 by Armand Amadeus, Christian Suwarna and Deviana Himawan. Armand was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, before pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Christian was previously Traveloka Group’s CMO and CEO of their Experience unit, and prior to that was a Project Leader at BCG in Chicago and a Software Engineer at Apple. Deviana is a renowned aesthetic and wellness doctor in Indonesia, and was instrumental in growing an aesthetic and wellness clinic into a regional brand with over 20 branches nationwide.
